- 청현(淸絃)의 4집 앨범 '질문'이 선보인다. 이번 앨범은 프레지안 선율을 기반으로 엮어낸 역동적인 선율 위에 우리 삶의 터전인 태양계와 지구, 자연, 그 위에 번성하고 있는 생명에 대한 경외감, 그리고 그 생명들이 걸어가야 할 미래를 향해 던지는 질문을 담아내었다.
- 작곡가는 그간 주로 한국 전통음악 기반의 서정성에 기반을 두고 작업해 왔으나 이번 작품은 서구적인 프레지안 선율을 기초삼아 그 위에 클래식적 요소와 뮤지컬스러운 다이내믹을 골고루 담아내었다. 하지만 곡 구성의 이곳저곳에는 여전히 한국전통음악적 감성이 숨겨져 있다. 마치 흐르는 강물 속 이곳저곳에 여울목이며, 숨은 바위틈이나 급물살이 숨겨져 있듯 이렇게 여기저기 숨어있던 변화들은 수시로 솟구쳐 나오며 모습을 드러낸다.

Introduction to Album 'ASK'.
Cheong Hyeon's new album,'ASK'-the 4th of his- is an awe & hymm for the universe, mother nature, our solar system, the earth and all living creatures there, as well as a question for living things on the earth to find an answer that put forward to the future they are heading to.
Having worked on strong origination from the tradition of korean traditional music with it's peculiar lyricity, Cheong Hyeon 'composer & poet' is, now as if a stranger, in 'ASK', boasting western classical elements, dynamics of cinematic musical pieces, as it is built, sung on phrygian mode.
Yet still strong korean traditional lyricism, at any right moment, out of nowhere spurts out to emanation as if in the flow of streams, here and there, places of hidden stone corners, shallow, narrow and rapid swirls reside in.
